Terms & Conditions – Tours & Motorbike Rentals
Booking & Payments
- A 15% non-refundable deposit is required to secure all bookings for both tours and motorbike rentals.
- Full payment must be made 30 days prior to departure or rental pick-up.
- We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance at the time of booking to cover any unforeseen changes.
Eligibility to Rent & Ride
- Riders must hold a valid motorcycle license
- A learner’s permit is acceptable for guided tours but must be accompanied by a fully licensed rider if renting independently.
- International riders must provide a passport, valid motorcycle license, and, if in a foreign language, an international rider’s permit.
- Only the nominated rider listed in the rental agreement may operate the motorcycle.
Security Deposit & Liability (For Motorbike Rentals)
- A $2,000 security deposit is required for each rental. This will be held on your card at pick-up and refunded upon safe return of the bike in good condition.
- The renter is responsible for any damage to the motorcycle during the rental period. Any costs for repairs or replacement parts will be deducted from the deposit.
Tour & Rental Conditions
- Riders must comply with all Australian road laws, State regulations, and relevant Forest & Nature Conservation acts.
- It is mandatory to wear an approved crash helmet and protective riding gear (dirt bike boots, gloves, and suitable clothing). We can supply gear if needed.
- Motorcycles must not be used in competitive motorsports or ridden on beaches without prior approval.
- We reserve the right to cancel a rental or tour immediately if riders fail to follow safety guidelines.
Tour Inclusions & Support
For our tours, the following are covered:
✔ Motorcycle rental
✔ Fuel
✔ Accommodation (tent included)
✔ National park permits & river ferry fees
✔ Riding gear (if needed: helmet, gloves, boots, pants, and jersey)
🔹 Meals: Some meals will be included, but riders are responsible for pub dinners, drinks, snacks, and any additional meals outside the provided ones. We will stop at local pubs and food stops where you can purchase your own meals.
🔹 Unsupported tours – Everything must be packed on your bike. There is no support vehicle.
🔹 If you don’t have your own riding gear, we can provide it as part of your package.
Cancellation & Refunds
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- Cancellations more than 30 days before the rental/tour start date: Full refund minus the deposit.
- Cancellations 14-30 days before: 50% refund.
- Cancellations less than 14 days before: No refund.
- If your bike is rebooked after your cancellation, we may refund the amount recovered.
- If you need to reschedule, payments made will be valid for up to 12 months, but cancellation policies still apply.
Insurance & Responsibility
- Alrock Adventures is not responsible for personal injury, accidents, or lost property. We highly recommend travel and personal insurance that covers motorcycling.
- In the event of a mechanical breakdown or accident, we will assist, but we are not obligated to provide a replacement motorcycle for the remainder of the rental period.
- Any traffic fines, speeding tickets, or penalties incurred are the renter’s responsibility. A $50 admin fee applies for handling unpaid fines.
Indemnity & Waiver
By booking a tour or rental with Alrock Adventures, you agree to:
✔ Participate at your own risk and release Alrock Adventures, its owners, staff, and agents from liability for any loss, injury, or damage.
✔ Follow all safety instructions and comply with all rules and laws.
✔ Acknowledge the risks involved in motorcycle riding, including environmental conditions and third-party actions.
General Information
- Our guides are first-aid trained and equipped with mobile & satellite communication.
- We operate in remote areas where conditions may change unexpectedly. Routes, dates, and available bikes are subject to change due to weather, safety, or operational needs.
- Alrock Adventures reserves the right to refuse service to any rider for safety concerns, inappropriate conduct, or failure to comply with these terms.
By confirming your booking, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these terms and conditions.
Additional Terms and Conditions for Camping Gear, Kayaks, Swags, Tents, and GoPros
Eligibility to Rent:
- Camping gear, kayaks, swags, tents, and GoPros are available for hire to individuals over the age of 18 with a valid ID.
Payment and Cancellation Policy:
- Full payment is required at the time of booking. The following cancellation fees apply:
- Over 30 days before the booked rental date: Full refund.
- 2 weeks before the booked rental date: 50% refund.
- 2 weeks or less: No refund.
- If the equipment is rebooked after your cancellation and costs are recovered, we will refund you the full amount.
Usage and Responsibility:
- All equipment must be used in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines and safety instructions.
- The renter is responsible for returning the equipment in the same condition it was received. A bond may be required to cover any damage or loss of equipment.
- Alrock Adventures is not liable for any injuries or accidents that occur while using the hired equipment.
Insurance and Liability:
- Alrock Adventures does not provide insurance for hired equipment. We recommend that you obtain personal insurance to cover any potential damages, losses, or injuries.
- The renter is responsible for the full replacement cost of any lost, stolen, or irreparably damaged equipment.
Indemnity Release:
- By renting camping gear, kayaks, swags, tents, or GoPros from Alrock Adventures, you agree to assume all risks associated with their use and release Alrock Adventures from any liability for personal injury, property damage, or loss.
- You agree to use the equipment safely and responsibly and to return it in the same condition as it was rented.
