Join us on a 2-day, 1-night guided motorcycle tour through some of Southeast Queensland’s best-kept secrets — from the scenic valleys of Boonah and the misty Queen Mary Falls, to river crossings on the Condamine River Road, and epic trails through Sundown National Park and the Border Ranges & Maryland National Park.
This ride is perfect for beginner to intermediate riders ready to get off the beaten path, challenge themselves, and explore rugged, remote terrain without support vehicles or crowds — just good company, great trails, and wild beauty.
The Ride starts and returns in Croftby about 15mins south of Boonah.
DAY 1 – Spicers Gap → Condamine Crossings → Sundown NP
We kick things off at 8:00 AM, heading straight toward Spicers Gap to get comfortable on the bikes and take in the incredible views overlooking Lake Moogerah.
From there, we drop into the iconic Condamine River Road, tackling the famous 13 river crossings — trying to stay dry… but it doesn’t always go to plan.
Once through, we cruise some easier flowing sections into Stanthorpe for a well-earned pub stop. Expect a solid feed (the parmi here is a standout).
With full stomachs, we head toward Sundown National Park, where the riding steps up a notch. Think rocky terrain, technical sections, and proper adventure riding.
We’ll stop in at Red Rock Gorge before making our way to camp, aiming to roll in around 4:00 PM. This gives us time to set up, relax, and enjoy the remote High Country atmosphere before dark.
Camp: Remote bush camp (Sundown NP)
Meals: Pub lunch + camp dinner
DAY 2 – Sundown → Tenterfield → Rocky River → Return
We wake up with the sun, kick things off with a coffee around the campfire, and pack down camp. We aim to be rolling again by 8:00 AM.
We backtrack out of Sundown National Park and take a short highway stint into Tenterfield for a late brekky / early lunch.
After a good feed, we head back into the dirt via Rocky River Road, riding through stunning scenery toward Paddy’s Flat.
From there, we make our way back toward base via White Swamp Road, with an optional stop at Koreelah Creek Campground for a quick swim if time allows.
We finish the ride tired, a bit sore but absolutely satisfied.
